For contact review, one frame every several seconds is more practical than exporting every frame from a long video.
PNG versus JPEG
PNG is lossless but larger; JPEG is smaller for photographic frames. Choose according to downstream use.
Timestamp filenames matter
Timestamped names make it possible to trace a still image back to its location in the source.
Do not confuse frame extraction with upscaling
The still image cannot contain more detail than the decoded video frame.
