Estimate whether product-photo borders and corners appear white using browser-side pixel analysis.
White Background Checker is designed around one clear task and keeps the working file on your device. Controls and limitations are shown before you process.
The browser reads and processes the selected file locally. OpenFileTools does not receive the image, metadata, or processing settings.
| Property | Behavior |
|---|---|
| Processing | Browser only; no image upload |
| Original | Never changed |
| Method | Border and corner pixel sampling |
| Approval guarantee | None |
The checker samples pixels around the image border and corners, allowing a small tolerance for neutral near-white compression variation. Appears white means most sampled pixels pass; Mostly white is a mixed border; Not predominantly white means too few sampled pixels are near white.
Shadows, reflective objects, white products, textured backgrounds, and products touching the edge can distort border sampling. The result does not inspect the full scene and cannot guarantee Amazon approval.
At least about 90% of sampled border pixels matched the near-white tolerance.
Border sampling cannot reliably separate a white subject touching the edge from its background.
No. It neither segments nor alters the subject.
