Why PDF and Word structure differ
PDF stores final page placement, while Word stores flowing paragraphs and document structure. Conversion therefore reconstructs a useful document rather than recovering an unknown original DOCX.
Use a searchable PDF
Searchable text can become editable paragraphs, headings, lists, and tables. Image-only scans contain pixels rather than characters and need OCR, which this converter does not pretend to provide.
Review tables and images
Aligned rows and columns are converted conservatively into Word table cells. Supported embedded raster images remain separate objects instead of turning the entire page into a screenshot.
Expect layout differences
Columns, unusual fonts, complex graphics, clipping, forms, and exact line breaks may require manual correction. Meaningful PDF page boundaries become Word page breaks.
