How to Create QR Codes and vCard Contact Codes

Generate local QR payloads for URLs, Wi-Fi, messaging, and escaped vCard 3.0 contact details.

Choose the correct payload mode

Plain text and URLs encode directly, while Wi-Fi, email, phone, SMS, and contact modes build standardized payload prefixes and escaping.

Create a contact vCard

Contact mode creates vCard 3.0 with a required display name and optional organization, title, phone, email, website, address, and note. Backslashes, commas, semicolons, and line breaks are escaped.

Balance data and scan reliability

Long contact notes and addresses increase QR density. Shorten nonessential fields or raise error correction and output size when modules become too small.

Test with more than one scanner

Scan the PNG or SVG with representative devices and confirm every contact field before publishing or printing.

Keep payload generation local

No encoded URL is opened or checked, and contact details remain in current-tab memory.
