How to Create a Savings Goal Tracker

Track a target, starting amount, contributions, current savings, remaining amount, and truthful over-target progress.

What this template is for

A savings tracker compares a user-entered goal with a starting amount and dated contributions. Give the goal a clear name and optional target date, then record each contribution rather than overwriting history.

Fields and calculations that matter

Current saved equals starting amount plus contributions. Remaining never becomes negative, while percentage progress can exceed 100 percent so an over-target result remains truthful.

Customize and review the preview

Complete the fields locally, add or reorder repeatable rows where available, choose A4 or Letter and the intended orientation, then inspect wrapping, totals, and physical geometry in the live preview.

Important limitations

A zero target produces zero percentage rather than dividing by zero. The tracker does not project interest, investment returns, inflation, or completion dates.
