Audio Metadata Viewer: Local Workflow & Quality Guide

Inspect audio codec, sample rate, channels, bitrate metadata and descriptive tags without changing or uploading the file.

Technical metadata and descriptive tags are different

Codec, sample rate and channels describe the media track. Title, artist, album and comments are optional descriptive tags.

Bitrate can be metadata or measured behavior

Some containers provide average/peak bitrate fields; others do not. Missing values are reported as unknown.

Tags are not forensic evidence

Anyone with an editor can change many metadata tags. Use them for organization, not provenance proof.

Inspection is read-only

The viewer does not modify the file or make network requests.

Official marketplace references

Requirements can change. Review the source before publishing an important listing.
