Reordering should create a new file
A safe workflow leaves the source unchanged and writes a new PDF in the reviewed sequence. This makes mistakes recoverable and lets you compare the original and result before sharing.
Use thumbnails and page numbers together
Thumbnails reveal content, while page numbers reveal position. Similar-looking forms or blank separator pages are easy to confuse, so move pages in small groups and verify the sequence after major changes.
- Check the cover and final page.
- Look for missing, duplicated, or inverted pages.
- Confirm landscape pages remain in the intended position.
Document-level navigation may need review
Copying pages can preserve their visual content without rasterization, but bookmarks, form relationships, attachments, links, and digital signatures may not follow the new order correctly. Reopen the result and verify page count, order, rotation, and any interactive features you depend on.
