A visible signature is not automatically a digital signature
A drawn, typed, or uploaded signature image is visible evidence placed on a page. It does not by itself verify identity, create a certificate chain, or provide the tamper detection associated with a standards-based cryptographic PDF signature.
Review page, position, and size together
Place each signature, initial, date, or text item on its intended page. Compare the selected-page preview with the generated PDF before sharing, especially when pages have mixed dimensions or rotation.
- Keep marks inside the visible page boundary.
- Use keyboard arrows when precise pointer placement is difficult.
- Reopen the download in a separate viewer for an important document.
Keep reusable signatures under your control
A browser-local workflow can keep signature pixels in the current tab. Still treat any saved signature image as sensitive: store it carefully and do not assume a visible mark prevents copying or reuse.
