Choose a QR payload, error-correction level, physical width, raised/engraved depth, and print strategy that keeps the actual QR modules distinguishable and scannable.

Shorter payloads usually create simpler QR geometry

Long URLs and large text payloads can require a denser QR version. The generator uses the QR module matrix directly and reports approximate physical module width; at a fixed model width, denser modules become smaller and harder to print cleanly.

A physical QR code still needs visual contrast

Raised geometry alone does not guarantee scanning. Use material, paint, inlay, lighting, or another finishing strategy that makes modules visually distinct from the background.

Print and scan a prototype

Printer extrusion width, first-layer spread, sanding, paint, and viewing angle can all change module shape. Test the real object from the intended scanning distance before producing multiples.
