Personal Finance Dashboard: Professional Setup & Daily-Use Guide

Track transactions, accounts, savings goals and monthly cash flow in a private personal-finance dashboard with Excel/CSV exports.

Keep sensitive finance data local

This tool is designed for manual entry and local browser processing. It does not require bank credentials or pretend to have live balances. Only enter information you are comfortable keeping in the current browser tab and downloaded files.

Separate cash flow and net worth

Cash flow measures income minus expenses over a period. Net worth measures assets minus liabilities at a point in time. Both are useful, but they answer different questions.

Use categories consistently

Consistent categories make trends meaningful. Avoid creating a new category for every merchant unless you have a specific reporting reason.

Build goal funding into the plan

Savings goals become actionable when they include current amount, target amount and expected monthly contribution.
