Keep raw scores separate from interpretation
A gradebook should preserve actual assignment scores before adding categories or interventions. This makes corrections and audits easier.
Use class trends carefully
A low assessment average can indicate difficult content, unclear instruction or an unusually hard test. The dashboard surfaces patterns but does not diagnose students.
Protect student information
OpenFileTools keeps entries in the current browser tab, but downloaded files still contain whatever names or identifiers you enter. Follow your school privacy requirements.
Export for your official system
Use CSV as a bridge to the grade-management system your institution authorizes.
