Freeform, preset, and exact-pixel crops
The crop rectangle is stored in original image pixels, not preview CSS pixels, so the exported crop remains correct when the interface scales. Choose freeform, a portrait, landscape, or square ratio, or exact X, Y, width, and height values.
- Drag to reposition.
- Use corner handles to resize.
- Numeric controls provide keyboard access.
Cropping is different from resizing
Cropping permanently removes pixels outside the selected rectangle; resizing changes the dimensions of the pixels that remain. Use the Image Resizer when you need the whole photo at a different size instead of removing an edge.
- The selected rectangle goes directly to the shared renderer without an intermediate re-encode.
- Keep a copy of the original if you may need the removed area later.
