Inspect the archive before extracting
Open the ZIP and review filenames, folder hierarchy, compressed size, and expanded size before choosing entries to download. Listing an archive is separate from executing its contents; OpenFileTools keeps active formats inert during inspection.

Bound expansion before decompression
ZIP archives can contain traversal paths or data that expands far beyond the compressed size. OpenFileTools applies entry-count, total-expansion, path, and compression-ratio checks before extraction so obviously dangerous archive shapes are rejected early.

No. Extraction verifies structure, not trustworthiness or malware status.
Why will a password ZIP not open?
